Industrial Gas Turbine Engine Application

Project: Gaseous Fuel and Water Injection Facilities for Combustor Test Rig.

This significant multi-million pound requirement was to provide high capacity multiple high pressure gaseous fuel feeds and dual fuel liquid/water injection operation of a high pressure and temperature industrial gas turbine combustor system. Extensive ancillary systems and revisions to the facility control and instrumentation equipment were required, together with civil works including the construction of a new purpose built compressor house. Control of the fuel system was a particularly demanding requirement involving interactive proportioning of the various feeds in real time against overall AFR and split schedules.
